Stella Battleship

The Stella is a grade 3 Uncommon Independent Battleship in Star Trek Fleet Command, built around loot rather than firepower. Its Master Thief ability multiplies the rewards you pull from Eclipse hostiles and Armada Targets, so it works as a farming tool more than a front-line brawler. You unlock the build at Shipyard level 27. If you grind Eclipse content, it earns a slot; if you want a pure PvP hull, look elsewhere.

How to get the Stella

The Stella needs 100 blueprints to build, and construction unlocks once your Shipyard reaches level 27 and you have cleared its research prerequisite. The build costs 800,000 Tritanium and 28,000 Dilithium, and it takes 16 hours to finish.

The data does not fix where the blueprints come from, and blueprint sources rotate over time, so treat the requirement above as the reliable part and check the current in-game store and event schedule for the pieces.

Stella ability

The Stella’s ship ability is Master Thief, and like all ship abilities it is always active. It raises the rewards you earn from Eclipse hostiles and Armada Targets, starting at 200% at ship level 1 and climbing to 600% at level 45. In play that turns the Stella into a reward multiplier: you take it into Eclipse or armada targets you can already beat, and it pads the payout rather than helping you win the fight.

Stats and tiers

Base values from the current game data; research, buffs and officers raise them in play.

Tier Warp (speed / range) Impulse Cargo (protected) Shield HP Hull HP Health (displayed)
1 3 / 33 85 10,000 (3,000) 6,487 9,867 8,177
5 3 / 33 105 10,000 (3,000) 8,487 12,811 10,649
9 3 / 33 125 10,000 (3,000) 10,487 15,750 13,118.5

Stella skin, scrapping and research

The Stella carries a scrap-and-rebuild identity from the start. It is scrappable from Operations level 1, and breaking it down and rebuilding it is part of how you farm its rewards rather than a sign the hull is disposable. A dedicated Stella research node improves how the ship performs against Eclipse targets, so the research tree is worth checking once the ship is in your dock.

The ship also has a cosmetic skin, the Stella Opus Grande, which adds a 250% bonus to loot from Eclipse enemies. If you plan to lean on the Stella as a farmer, the skin builds on exactly what makes it useful.

Weapons and firing pattern

Warm-up is the round a weapon first fires; cool-down is how many rounds pass between shots after that. The Stella’s heaviest gun is the kinetic weapon, which lands two shots but on the slowest cadence.

Weapon Type Shots Warm-up Cool-down Damage Crit chance Crit damage
Kinetic gun Kinetic 2 1 2 6,120–9,180 5% 115%
Energy weapon 1 Energy 1 1 1 5,640–8,460 5% 115%
Energy weapon 2 Energy 1 1 1 5,640–8,460 5% 115%

Crew slots and officer bonus

The Stella opens with two officer slots and adds more as it levels, reaching a full bridge of six at ship level 45.

Ship level Officer slots
1 2
5 3
15 4
25 5
45 6

On top of the bridge, the ship gives your officers a flat bonus to their stats, and it steps up as you feed the ship more of the required resource. The attack, defense and health bonuses are identical at every step, so the single ladder below covers all three.

Amount Bonus
120 30%
240 60%
390 90%
540 120%
720 150%
960 180%
1,320 210%
1,800 240%
2,400 270%
3,600 300%

Crew for the Stella

Because Master Thief boosts loot rather than damage, no single officer is required to make it work; the ability pays out no matter who is on the bridge. What you actually want is a crew that keeps the Stella alive and hitting through the Eclipse or armada target you are farming, which for a grade 3 Battleship means officers that add weapon damage or shield mitigation. Build the crew around the fight you are farming, not around the Stella itself. For current picks, see the Officer Tier List, and keep in mind that the best crews shift with the meta.

The Stella in Star Trek

The Stella is a game-original vessel rather than a ship from the screen, but its name is pure Star Trek. In the Original Series episode “I, Mudd,” the con man Harry Mudd is haunted by an android built in the image of his wife, Stella, whose constant nagging he had fled across the galaxy. Star Trek Fleet Command leans into that joke by making the Stella his own ship. The in-game story describes a modular vessel Mudd can break down into parts and reassemble with a new signature elsewhere, letting him vanish after a heist and stay untraceable. It suits the character: a ship built for slipping away with the loot.

Is the Stella worth it?

For its grade band, the Stella is a specialist. Its combat stats are ordinary for a grade 3 Battleship, but the Master Thief bonus makes it the ship you want parked on Eclipse hostiles and Armada Targets when you are farming their rewards. Because it scraps from Operations level 1, it never blocks your dock or your progression. Chase it if you run Eclipse content regularly; skip it if you are only building toward PvP or raw power.
