Self-Inflicted

Self-Inflicted is a Star Trek Fleet Command mission, recommended for level 25, in which you investigate a missing Trill ship. You pick it up in Beta Assembly, it needs warp 20 to start and to finish, and the mission turns on one question: attack the Trill ship or not. Attacking means a fight of about 75,312 strength and pays 400,000 Parsteel with 90 3★ Interceptor Parts. Holding back skips the fight and pays 176,000 Parsteel with 8,000 Dilithium.

Self-Inflicted objectives

The first objective is shared, then the mission asks you to decide:

  • Investigate the missing Trill ship. Location: Jizo.
  • Attack the Trill ship? This is the choice split.

Path 1: attack

  • Attack the Trill ship. Location: Jizo. Enemy strength is roughly 75,312.
  • Return to the Trill ambassador. Location: Beta Assembly.

Rewards for Path 1: 400,000 Parsteel and 90 3★ Interceptor Parts.

Path 2: no attack

  • Return to the Trill ambassador. Location: Beta Assembly.

Rewards for Path 2: 176,000 Parsteel and 8,000 Dilithium.

Path 2 is the short route: once you decline, you head straight back to the ambassador. Path 1 adds the only fight in the mission before you return.

Where and what warp

Self-Inflicted is picked up in Beta Assembly, and warp is 20 to start and 20 to complete. The route is a round trip: out to Jizo to find the Trill ship, then back to the Trill ambassador in Beta Assembly.

Both paths cover the same ground. Jizo is the only system you visit between pickup and the return to Beta Assembly, so choosing to attack adds a fight but no extra travel.

The recommended level is 25. The Trill ship at roughly 75,312 strength only matters if you choose to attack.

Self-Inflicted rewards

Path Parsteel Other reward
Path 1: attack 400,000 90 3★ Interceptor Parts
Path 2: no attack 176,000 8,000 Dilithium

Either path unlocks the next mission, Daggers Out.

Attacking pays 224,000 more Parsteel and swaps the Dilithium for Interceptor Parts. The cost is one fight at about 75,312 strength.

Tips

Attack if your ship can handle it. At level 25, a 75,312-strength target is the only thing between you and more than twice the Parsteel, plus 90 Interceptor Parts.

Decline if Dilithium is what you need or your ship is not ready. Path 2 has no fight at all and still pays 176,000 Parsteel along with 8,000 Dilithium.

If you are building an interceptor, Path 1 is the clear choice. The 90 3★ Interceptor Parts are the only ship parts in the mission.

Whichever path you take, you finish at Beta Assembly rather than your station, since the last objective on both paths is to return to the Trill ambassador there.

The previous mission is Arbitrary Arbitration and the next is Daggers Out. Every other mission, sorted by level, is on the mission guide.
