Routed is a Borg storyline mission in Star Trek Fleet Command where you defend your own station from a Borg assault. It needs only warp 1 to start and finish, since every step happens at home. You face three enemies in a row, an assimilated Valdore, an assimilated Kelvin and a Borg probe, each at roughly 300,000 strength. The game lists a recommended level of 1, and the reward is 44,000 Dilithium and 218,000 Tritanium.

Routed objectives

There are four objectives and no choice split:

  • Return to your Station!
  • Defeat the assimilated Valdore. Enemy strength is roughly 296,419.
  • Defeat the assimilated Kelvin. Enemy strength is roughly 305,058.
  • Defeat the Borg probe. Enemy strength is roughly 296,419.

The mission opens by calling you home. Once your ship is back, the three Borg-controlled ships attack one at a time. No system is named for any of the fights, and none of them sits far from the others in strength: the assimilated Kelvin is the toughest at about 305,058, and the Valdore and the probe share the same number.

Added together, the three enemies come to just under 900,000 strength. Each one is modest on its own, but you face all three in a row, so your hull takes the combined damage unless you repair in between.

Where and what warp

Warp 1 to start and warp 1 to complete, with no pickup system. The only travel is the trip back to your station.

The recommended level is listed as 1. The real test is three fights of around 300,000 strength each, back to back, without a trip out to reset.

Routed rewards

Reward Amount
Tritanium 218,000
Dilithium 44,000

The Tritanium is the bigger half of the payout, and 218,000 of it goes a long way toward the upgrades players are working on around warp 18. Completing the mission also unlocks the next mission in the chain.

Routed and its neighbours

Routed sits between two missions that both need warp 18, which makes it an easy step in terms of range.

Mission Warp to complete Rewards
The Shoulders of Giants 18 60,000 Tritanium
Routed 1 218,000 Tritanium, 44,000 Dilithium
The Art of Misdirection 18 19 3★ Uncommon Refined Crystal, 62,000 Dilithium

Routed pays more than three times the Tritanium of the mission before it, and it is the only one of the three that you can finish without leaving home.

Tips

Bring your best combat ship home first. The opening objective is simply to return to your station, and the three fights follow straight after it, so have a combat-ready ship docked when you start.

Watch your hull between fights. Three enemies at around 300,000 each add up, and there is no travel between them to give you a natural break. You are already at your station, so there is no long trip home if you need to repair between fights.

The Kelvin is the biggest of the three by a small margin. If your ship barely beat the Valdore, repair before you take it on.
