Misappropriation

Misappropriation sends you after a Progenitor signal that turns up in Romulan space, and it finishes with one heavy fight. Four objectives run across two systems, Maumo and Elvros, and the only hostile is an enhanced Legionary sitting at roughly 5.87 million strength. Clearing it pays 23 4★ Rare Battleship Parts. The number that decides whether you can run this mission at all is warp 150.

Misappropriation objectives

The mission runs in a straight line with no choice split, so there is only one path through it. Complete the objectives in this order:

  • Investigate the source of the Progenitor signal, in Maumo.
  • Follow the source of the signal to Elvros.
  • Defeat the enhanced Legionary, in Elvros. Enemy strength is about 5,867,534.
  • Recall to your station.

The first two steps are travel and interaction, which leaves the Legionary in Elvros as the mission’s only combat. The last objective sends you home again, so the mission does not close out while your ship is still parked in Elvros admiring the wreckage.

Where and what warp

Picking the mission up costs nothing in range. Warp 1 starts it, so it can sit in your log from very early on. Finishing is the expensive half. Elvros sits far enough out that you need warp 150 to complete the mission, which puts Misappropriation behind deep-space warp range rather than behind raw combat power for most players who look at it.

Maumo is where the trail starts and Elvros is where it ends, so plan one route out rather than two separate trips. If your best warp is short of 150, the mission stalls at the second objective and stays there until you push your range up through research and refits. There is no way around that step.

Misappropriation rewards

Completing the mission gives 23 4★ Rare Battleship Parts. Those feed battleship builds and tier-ups at 4★, so the payout lands well for a player working through a battleship at that star level and does very little for anyone who is not. Twenty-three parts from a single mission is a decent chunk against the alternative of grinding them.

Finishing also opens the next mission in the line, so the parts are the immediate return and the story progression is the reason to keep going once you have them.

Tips

Check your ship’s power against 5,867,534 before you undock. That figure is the enhanced Legionary’s strength, and because it is the only fight in the mission, there is no easier encounter earlier on to test yourself against. The objective calls the ship enhanced, so use the 5.87 million number rather than any strength you remember from a standard Legionary.

Sort warp range before anything else. Warp 150 is a long reach and it gates the whole mission. Players who start this one early almost always stall on the trip to Elvros and end up shelving it for weeks.

Fly out with repair time in mind. Elvros is deep, and a rough fight that far from home means a long trip back before repairs can even begin, with the recall objective still sitting open.

Do not walk away after the kill. Recalling to your station is the final objective, and the rewards land when you are back home, not when the Legionary blows up.
