Warp 20 gets you to it and warp 20 closes it out. What lands in your inventory for that short flight is out of proportion to the work: 100 15 Minute Repair Speed Ups, 5 1 Day Speed Ups, 5 shards of Six of Eleven, and 8 shards of Sieben von elf.

The Calm After the Storm objectives

There is one objective, and it is a return trip.

Kehren Sie zu Ihrer Station zurück.

No choice split and no hostiles to clear. Nothing to mine or donate either. The mission’s own story line reads “Reap the rewards of your courage,” which is an honest description of the job: it hands over a reward package for whatever brought you out to Mordus in the first place. Recall the ship, let it dock, and the objective clears.

Because the whole mission is one step, there is no way to get part of the way through it and stall. Either your ship is home and the rewards are yours, or it is still out and nothing has happened yet.

Wo und welcher Warp

Pickup is in Mordus, sitting at warp 20. That same warp 20 is the figure the mission needs to complete, so no longer second leg is waiting once you accept it. If your ships can reach Mordus, they can finish this.

Warp range is the whole requirement. With one objective and no combat step, there is nothing else in the mission for a weak ship or a thin crew to fail at. Players who hit a wall here have hit it before the mission, out at the warp 20 mark, and the fix is warp research rather than anything on this page.

The Calm After the Storm rewards

Belohnung

Amount

15 Minute Repair Speed Up

100

1 Day Speed Up

5

Six of Eleven shards

5

Seven of Eleven shards

8

By volume the speed ups carry the reward. A hundred 15 Minute Repair Speed Ups is a deep bench for anyone running combat regularly, since repair timers are the tax on every fight you lose and most of the ones you win. Five 1 Day Speed Ups are the rarer half of that pair and reward patience: they do the same work on a two-day research timer as on a twenty-minute build, so spending them on whatever happens to be queued wastes most of their value.

The shards are the slower payoff. Officer shards accumulate toward recruiting an officer and then promoting them, so 5 of Six of Eleven and 8 of Seven of Eleven are partial progress rather than a finished crew member. Neither pile completes on its own here, which makes this mission one source among several for those two rather than the one that unlocks them.

Tips

Fold the return trip into something you were already doing. The objective completes on docking at your own station, and any trip home counts. If you are out at Mordus finishing other work, there is no reason to make a dedicated flight for this.

Confirm the ship has docked rather than simply been recalled. A ship in transit has not arrived, and the mission sits open until it does. On a long recall from warp 20 that gap can be several minutes, so give it time before assuming something has gone wrong.

Bank the repair speed ups instead of spending them on small dents. A hundred of them looks like plenty until a bad armada run or a string of PvP losses puts several ships in the yard at once. They hold their value indefinitely and cost nothing to sit on.

Save the 1 Day Speed Ups for a timer worth a day. The best use is a research node or a building upgrade that would otherwise block progress for a real stretch of time. Five of them is enough to move one meaningful thing forward, and not enough to spray at everything.

The Calm After the Storm in STFC: ein Ziel, Warp 20 von Mordus zurück zu deiner Station.
