The Augur is a Romulan Battleship, an Epic grade 3 warship that unlocks once your Shipyard reaches level 34. It is a combat ship built around punishing enemies that are already on fire: its Obliterate ability stacks extra weapon damage every time its kinetic gun lands on a burning target. With cloaking available as a refit, the Augur works as a mid-game PvP and hostile-hunting ship for Romulan-aligned commanders.<\/p>\n

<\/span>How to get the Augur<\/span><\/h2>\n

You build the Augur at Shipyard level 34, and it takes 150 blueprints to unlock the build. The blueprints have shown up in the Romulanisch<\/a> Faction Store and in Rare and Epic Armada packs, and the Summoner mission awards one, so Romulan-aligned players at Respected reputation have the clearest path to it. The build cost is 9,000,000 Tritanium, 200,000 Dilithium, 1,375 3★ Common Refined Crystal, and 8,250 3★ Common Refined Ore. Construction runs 34 days and 12 hours.<\/p>\n

<\/span>Augur ability<\/span><\/h2>\n

The Augur’s ship ability is Obliterate. While the enemy ship is Burning, every hit from the Augur’s Obliterator kinetic weapon raises all of the Augur’s weapon damage, and the bonus stacks through the fight. It starts at 50% at level 1 and climbs to 140% at level 45. Ship abilities are always on, so there is nothing to trigger. In play that means you want something on your crew or fleet that sets the enemy on fire, then keep the Obliterator connecting so the damage bonus snowballs as the rounds pile up.<\/p>\n

<\/span>Augur active ability<\/span><\/h2>\n

The Augur can also use two player-activated abilities. Ship Cloaking hides the ship; the cloak holds until it runs out, you enter combat, start mining, or dock at a station. It lets you position or travel unseen and can keep your name and alliance out of enemy Battle Reports. Direct Hit raises all of the Augur’s Penetration stats against other players by 300% for its duration, which turns the ship into a burst threat in PvP. Both are switched on through refits rather than being available by default.<\/p>\n

<\/span>Weapons and firing pattern<\/span><\/h2>\n

Warm-up is the round a weapon first fires; cool-down is the number of rounds between shots after that. The Augur carries one heavy kinetic gun and two lighter energy weapons. Weapon 1, the kinetic shot, is the Obliterator that the Obliterate ability keys off, so it is the weapon you want landing on burning enemies. Values below are at max tier 9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n

Because Obliterate depends on the enemy Burning and on the kinetic Obliterator landing, the Augur wants a bridge that sets the target on fire and pushes weapon damage, with a captain that raises attack or keeps your shots connecting. Add an officer whose ability triggers off burning or off kinetic hits and the stacking bonus builds faster. Specific picks move with the meta, so check the Officer Tier List<\/a> for current battleship crews rather than locking into one bridge.<\/p>\n
