Catching a Killer III is the level 54 mission in Star Trek Fleet Command that closes Detective Olgak’s murder case. It starts at warp 1 and needs warp 285 to complete. A killing in New London leads you to Merius, where you decide whether to disable Azot’s ship and arrest him or destroy it. Detectives in New London report a murder that looks like Azot’s work, with another advanced security system bypassed. The killer left a note addressed to Olgak. It is a cipher: the first letters of one of its phrases spell out Merius, where Azot is waiting for the detective.<\/p>\n
At Merius, Azot tells Olgak the other victims meant nothing and that the detective was his real target all along. Olgak wants him in custody, but he also floats ending it on the spot.<\/p>\n
Olgak agrees not to sink to Azot’s level. Azot is beamed to the brig and taken back for trial.<\/p>\n
Olgak agrees there is no other choice, and Azot’s ship is destroyed.<\/p>\n
Either way, the case leaves its mark on Olgak, and he decides to take time off. On the arrest path Azot rants in his cell; on the other, Olgak wonders if Azot got the ending he wanted.<\/p>\n
