Whispers in the Dark is a level 62 Federation mission in Star Trek Fleet Command. Starfleet has written off Starbase 212 as hostile and has no ships to spare, so you go to find out why the station went silent. You pick it up in Triga-5, need warp 1,000 to start and to finish, and do all of the work in Keylali. The last step is a fight at about 4 billion strength, and the reward is 109,000 Latinum, 139,000 Raw \u03a3-Parsteel and 3,600 Federation Credits.<\/p>\n
There are five objectives in one system and no choice split:<\/p>\n
Starbase 212 has no hull damage and no sign of combat, and its power and life support are still running, but there is nobody aboard. A nearby tricorder signal leads you to a set of personal logs from the station’s first officer. They describe the USS Trankasa coming back from a research assignment with something aboard, and the crew being overrun soon after. The last log is calm in a way the earlier ones are not, and then a ship locks weapons on you. It belongs to Commander Travis, the officer who recorded the logs, and destroying it ends the mission, with a warning that this madness is spreading across the Frontier.<\/p>\n
The pickup system is Triga-5, but every objective is in Keylali. Warp 1,000 is needed both to start and to complete. The game lists a recommended level of 62.<\/p>\n
