You are still stuck in the universe where the <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/star-trek-fleet-command.1337wiki.com\/de\/foderation\/\"   title=\"F\u00f6derationsfraktion\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\"  data-wpil-monitor-id=\"20381\">F\u00f6deration<\/a> is run by cats, and Dr McCoy asks you to help him track down a missing Spock. The recommended level is 61, the mission starts at warp 1 and needs warp 40 to complete, and it runs from <a href=\"https:\/\/star-trek-fleet-command.1337wiki.com\/de\/sol-60-foderation\/\">Sol<\/a> out to <a href=\"https:\/\/star-trek-fleet-command.1337wiki.com\/de\/antonehk\/\">Antonehk<\/a>. The payout is led by 58,000 6\u2605 Broken Explorer Parts and 300 Sector Prism. It is a short mission with one real fight, a small mining task and a hostile sweep.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"part-1\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"IDIC_8_Where_No_Cat_Hasnt_Gone_Before_Part_2\"><\/span>IDIC 8: Where No Cat Hasn&#8217;t Gone Before Part 2<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>The story line is simple: help McCoy find <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/star-trek-fleet-command.1337wiki.com\/de\/spock\/\"   title=\"Offizier Spock\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\"  data-wpil-monitor-id=\"23602\">Spock<\/a>. Spock has been gone for five days, so McCoy wants to rule out Sol first, starting with the asteroid belt, which he warns is full of pirates and wildcats.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Search for Spock, in Sol.<\/li>\n<li>Defeat the wildcats, in Sol (enemy strength ~2,618,077,029).<\/li>\n<li>Search for Spock in Antonehk, in Antonehk.<\/li>\n<li>Mine 15 3\u2605 <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/star-trek-fleet-command.1337wiki.com\/de\/kristall\/\"   title=\"Rohkristall\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\"  data-wpil-monitor-id=\"20386\">Kristall<\/a> to lure Spock.<\/li>\n<li>Defeat 4 hostiles of Level 20 or higher.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The search in Sol turns up nothing, and a Federation Patrol that McCoy calls wildcats attacks you. That fight is listed at about 2.6 billion strength and is the only named battle in the mission. Your officer then suggests luring Spock out with something shiny, so the mission moves to Antonehk, which McCoy points out is <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/star-trek-fleet-command.1337wiki.com\/de\/klingonisch\/\"   title=\"Klingonenfraktion\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\"  data-wpil-monitor-id=\"20383\">Klingonisch<\/a> territory, to mine a small batch of Crystal. When that does not work, McCoy decides the Klingon ships nearby might tempt Spock instead, and the last objective asks you to defeat four hostiles of level 20 or higher. The objective itself lists no system. There is no choice split. Warp to complete: 40.<\/p>\n<p>Rewards: 58,000 6\u2605 Broken Explorer Parts, 1 10K \u03a3-<a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/star-trek-fleet-command.1337wiki.com\/de\/tritanium\/\"   title=\"Tritanium\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\"  data-wpil-monitor-id=\"20380\">Tritanium<\/a> Token, 12 30 Minute \u03a3-Repair Speed Up, 300 Sector Prism.<\/p>\n<p>By the end, McCoy works out that Spock has most likely gone back to his fianc\u00e9e T&#8217;Pring, which leads straight into <a href=\"https:\/\/star-trek-fleet-command.1337wiki.com\/de\/idic-9-where-no-cat-hasnt-gone-before-part-1\/\">IDIC 9: Where No Cat Hasn&#8217;t Gone Before<\/a> unter <a href=\"https:\/\/star-trek-fleet-command.1337wiki.com\/de\/foderation-vulkan-23\/\">Vulkan<\/a>. At roughly 2,618,077,029 strength it is tougher than the patrol in IDIC 7, so bring a fully repaired combat ship to Sol rather than whatever you finished the previous mission with.<\/p>\n<p>The Crystal objective asks for only 15 units of 3\u2605 Crystal, so a single survey ship on any 3\u2605 Crystal node will clear it quickly. If you do not have one handy, send it out while your combat ship handles the fight so the two tasks overlap.<\/p>\n<p>Level 20 hostiles are trivial for a level 61 commander. Pick the closest four you can find and move on, since the only thing left after that is the unlock for the finale.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Are_the_IDIC_8_Where_No_Cat_Hasnt_Gone_Before_rewards_worth_it\"><\/span>Are the IDIC 8: Where No Cat Hasn&#8217;t Gone Before rewards worth it?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Yes, especially if you are building an Explorer. The 58,000 6\u2605 Broken Explorer Parts are the main prize, and the 10K \u03a3-Tritanium Token, the \u03a3-Repair speed ups and 300 Sector Prism round it out. The effort is one 2.6 billion strength fight plus two light tasks, and you need to clear it anyway to reach IDIC 9.
