Temporal Conduit is an Epic Chaos Tech artifact that slots onto a ship and turns Xindi hostile farming into a real payday. At max it raises the resources you pull from non-armada Xindi kills by up to 1,200%, and in any hostile or armada fight it has up to an 85% chance each round to inflict Hull Breach for two rounds. It is built for grinding the Xindi. If that is part of your routine, it earns its slot.<\/p>\n

<\/span>What Temporal Conduit does<\/span><\/h2>\n

The piece carries three buffs. The one you feel most is the resource boost against non-armada Xindi hostiles, which climbs from 10% at unlock to 1,200% at max level. Alongside it, the Hull Breach chance gives your ship a way to chip through enemy hull over a fight, and the Apex Barrier buff adds a large flat shield when you face Xindi Reptiles or Xindi Aquatics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n

In play, the resource buff is the reason to own it: at high level a single Xindi grinding run returns far more loot than the same run without it. The Hull Breach proc and Apex Barrier make the grind itself smoother rather than faster.<\/p>\n

<\/span>How to get Temporal Conduit<\/span><\/h2>\n

Temporal Conduit runs on the Chaos Tech economy, which lives in the Continuum refinery. You unlock a Chaos Tech slot on your ship with Chaos Tech Fusion Rods, then feed the piece the Chaos Tech materials it needs to grow. Chaos Tech Fragments are the raw input: you earn them when you pick up excess Chaos Tech shards, and you exchange them into finished Chaos Tech materials in the Continuum refinery. Fusion Rods and the upgrade catalysts also appear in the Store. Nothing here needs a specific event to get started, since it draws on refinery and store supply.<\/p>\n

<\/span>Upgrading Temporal Conduit<\/span><\/h2>\n

Two tracks raise the piece. Tiers use Chaos Tech Tier-Up Catalyst, and each tier lifts the level cap and can switch on a later buff (the Apex Barrier shield turns on at tier 2). Levels use Chaos Tech Reactor and Chaosmatter, and they scale the buff values up toward the maximums above. You raise tiers to open the ceiling, then grind levels to fill it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n

Reaching max tier costs 182,800 Chaos Tech Tier-Up Catalyst in total. Taking it from level 2 to level 60 costs 112,800 Chaos Tech Reactor and 261,475 Chaosmatter. Both Chaos Tech Reactor and Chaosmatter come from defeating Assimilated El-Aurian hostiles and exchanging their loot in the Continuum refinery.<\/p>\n

<\/span>Best ships and uses for Temporal Conduit<\/span><\/h2>\n

This is a Hostiles-subtype piece, and every buff points the same way: put it on the ship you use to farm Xindi. The 1,200% resource buff works with any ship, so it belongs on your main Xindi grinder rather than a combat specialist. The Apex Barrier shield only fires against Xindi Reptiles and Xindi Aquatics, so it pays off most when those are your targets. <\/span>Temporal Conduit in Star Trek<\/span><\/h2>\n

The Temporal Conduit comes from Star Trek: Enterprise and the fourth-season opener “Storm Front.” The Na’kuhl, a faction from a future timeline, lose their war and flee into Earth’s past, landing in 1944 during the Second World War. Their leader, Vosk, allies with the Axis powers and rebuilds the conduit from scratch, hoping to send his people back to the 29th century and restart the fight. Captain Archer and the crew of the NX-01 stop him before the device can be used. The game takes that idea of controlling the flow of time and shrinks it to something a starship can carry.<\/p>\n

<\/span>Is Temporal Conduit worth it?<\/span><\/h2>\n

If you grind the Xindi, yes. The resource multiplier alone changes how much a farming session returns, and the combat buffs make those fights easier to sit in. If the Xindi are not part of your routine, the piece does little for you, since two of its three buffs are Xindi-only.
