At low tiers the item is a narrow Gorn Hunter tool. As you reach the higher tiers and levels, the hull and damage bonuses grow into a broad hostile-grinding buff that helps against any hostile, not only the Gorn. The values shown are current as of the latest game data.<\/p>\n

<\/span>How to get Tarka’s Isolytic Weapon<\/span><\/h2>\n

You unlock Tarka’s Isolytic Weapon in the Forbidden Tech refinery using Epic Forbidden Fragments, the currency the refinery spends to open an Epic piece. You gather those fragments from Q’s Trials and from special rewards. Before you can equip any Forbidden Tech, you also need a free Forbidden Tech slot on the ship, which you open with Fusion Rods. Those same rods let you remove a piece from a ship later if you want to move it. Fusion Rods come from the Forbidden Tech refinery and the store.<\/p>\n

Upgrades run on two tracks. This is a Hostiles piece, so it belongs on the ship your best hostile-grinding crew flies. <\/span>Tarka’s Isolytic Weapon in Star Trek<\/span><\/h2>\n

The weapon comes from Star Trek: Discovery. Ruon Tarka, a scientist working with the Federation, designed an isolytic device to destroy the Dark Matter Anomaly threatening the galaxy. Isolytic weapons tear subspace itself, which is why they were outlawed under the Khitomer Accords, and Tarka built his against the Federation’s wishes. His plan to use it failed, but the game’s story imagines his schematics falling into the wrong hands and being fitted to starships.
