This is a level 55 and up target, so the cadet starter crew is too weak here; use your best mid-to-late-game officers. The Suppressor and Obliterator add two hard rules: fly a Borg Sphere, and leave Kathryn Janeway, Christopher Pike and Enterprise-E Picard off the crew, because their Evolutionary Assimilation ability destroys your ship if any of those officers are aboard. The Scout has no such officer trap. There is no Interceptor, Battleship or Explorer version to match, and nothing to swap as you move up the levels. Bring the strongest combat ship you have that can reach the system, and make sure your warp range covers the level you are hunting.

From level 71 the Scout switches on two abilities that lower levels do not have. Something to Prove raises its Isolytic Damage by 4,575% at level 71, scaling up to 39,365% at level 80, and shreds your ship’s Apex Barrier at the start of combat. Double Down raises its Isolytic Defense and its own Apex Barrier (20,500 at level 71, up to 64,750 at level 80) at the start of combat, and keeps its Critical Damage from falling below 100%. Levels 55 to 70 have no ship ability at all, so they are the easier farm; the level 71 to 80 versions hit much harder and take much longer to bring down.

Where to find the Conqueror Borg Scout

At the lower levels it clusters in Neutral systems like Alma, Fee’Nan and M2-Parcer at warp 320, then pushes deeper as the level climbs. Starfleet first met them in The Next Generation episode Q Who, when Q flung the Enterprise-D thousands of light-years into their path. They went on to assimilate Captain Picard as Locutus, destroy 39 starships at Wolf 359 and, in the film First Contact, travel back in time to stop humanity’s first warp flight. Borg scout ships are small by Borg standards: in the episode I, Borg, the Enterprise-D found a crashed scout ship with one surviving drone, Hugh.

Is the Conqueror Borg Scout worth grinding?

Yes, if you are tiering up Grade 5 to 7 Survey ships, because it is a steady source of Broken Survey Parts that any strong combat ship can farm.
