It spawns only as an Explorer, so the class that counters it is a Battleship. Killing one drops 7-star Broken Explorer Parts and Broken Survey Parts, and it swings your faction reputation. This is late-game content: the ship fights with Isolytic weapons and an Apex Barrier, so you want an Isolytic-capable ship before you engage.

How to beat the Forsaken Cruiser

The Forsaken Cruiser only appears as an Explorer. In the ship combat triangle, Schlachtschiffe counter Explorers, so bring a Battleship. Because there is one hull variant across every level, there is nothing to swap as you climb the bands. The one thing that changes level to level is raw power, so the fight gets harder even though the counter stays the same.

The ship runs two combat abilities that stay active the whole fight. Something to Prove increases its Isolytic Damage (by 3,950% at level 70, scaling steeply to 39,365% at level 80) and strips the Apex Barrier off your ship at the start of combat. Double Down raises its own Isolytic Defense and adds an Apex Barrier that grows from 19,750 at level 70 to 64,750 at level 80 at the start of combat, and its Critical Damage never falls below 100%. The practical read: this is Isolytic-era content, so an older ship with no Isolytic weapons or Apex tech will stall out. Bring a ship built for Isolytic combat and plan for a long fight rather than a quick burst.

If you are newer to this tier, here is what those terms mean in plain language. Isolytic Damage is a late-game damage type that bypasses much of a normal shield. The Apex Barrier is a separate protective layer that sits on top of hull and shields on Isolytic-era ships. When the Forsaken Cruiser strips your Apex Barrier and pumps up its own, it is trying to punch through your protection while keeping its own intact. That is the core reason a ship below this tier of technology has a hard time here, even at the lower levels.

For crew, put a captain that boosts weapon damage against hostiles in the captain seat, then fill the other two seats with Offiziere that add damage or survivability. The strongest names change as new officers release, so check the Officer Tier List for current picks. Treat any specific crew as a starting point, since the meta shifts over time.

Where to find the Forsaken Cruiser

The Forsaken Cruiser clusters by level. The lowest spawns, levels 70 to 72, sit behind warp 1550 to 1600, and the warp requirement climbs to 6000 by level 80. The higher the level, the deeper into contested space it sits, so match your warp range to the band you can actually clear. Working the lower levels first is the usual play, since the systems are closer and the ships are weaker.
