The Rules of Acquisition arc is the Ferengi storyline in Star Trek Fleet Command, in which you help Quark and his circle take on a black market network that has been driving more legitimate companies out of business. It has 40 missions in six chains, recommended from level 25 to 41, with warp to complete running from 12 to 70. Every mission pays Latinum, about 67,000 across the arc, and the chains also pay shards for Cath, Quark, Rom, Arrock and Fess.<\/p>\n

It opens when a pair of Ferengi brothers arrive at your station asking for help. The leads go nowhere at first, and the network always seems two steps ahead, so you need a plan to outsmart it. Rule of Acquisition 18 sets the tone: a Ferengi without profit is no Ferengi at all.<\/p>\n

<\/span>How the Rules of Acquisition arc works<\/span><\/h2>\n

The six chains fall into three level groups, and within each chain finishing one part opens the next. At levels 25 and 26, A Second Chance has you ride along with Quark on a deal with outlaws, a trip home to Ferenginar and a field test of the D’Vor Feesha prototype that goes wrong when Mavak steals it. Familial Ties runs at the same levels and follows Cath as she leaves Ferenginar, buys an Independent station and defends it from a Corvallen assault. Both stay within warp 25.<\/p>\n

The middle group is Fly by Night at level 34, a Ferengi black market job that sends you after sellers, moles and a Black Market ship, and The Cost of Business at level 35, where you work with Quark to take down the Network and its operative Fess. Both finish between warp 20 and 30.<\/p>\n

The last two chains need far more range. Deposition, at levels 40 and 41, has you help Berron bring down Arrogen Industries and its chairman Luric, and swings between warp 24 and 70; expect a 25M Tritanium payment along the way. Fire Sales, at level 40, follows a Ferengi arms dealer who profits by setting the Federation, Klingons and Romulans against each other, and needs warp 64 to 70 on every part.<\/p>\n

<\/span>Rules of Acquisition arc rewards worth chasing<\/span><\/h2>\n

Cath is the officer this arc pays most often, with one shard each from Famili\u00e4re Bindungen Teil 5<\/a> und The Cost of Business<\/a> Parts 5 and 8. Quark shards come from Eine zweite Chance Teil 5<\/a> und Absetzung Teil 5<\/a>. Rom shards come from The Cost of Business Part 10 and Fire Sales Teil 5<\/a>. Fly by Night<\/a> pays one Arrock shard in Part 5 and one Fess shard in Part 10.<\/p>\n

Latinum grows with level. The level 25 and 26 chains pay a few hundred to 1,300 per part, The Cost of Business pays 4,000 in each of Parts 7 and 9, and Fire Sales pays 25,500 across its five parts. The resource payouts at the top end are large: Deposition Part 2 pays 117.5M Parsteel and Fire Sales Part 1 pays 80M. The arc also hands out 3,500 Ultra Recruit Tokens in 500-token batches, including from A Second Chance Part 4 and Familial Ties Part 4.<\/p>\n
