It needs only warp 1 to start and finish, and the game lists a recommended level of 1, so the upgrade is the only thing that matters. The reward is 6,000 <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/star-trek-fleet-command.1337wiki.com\/de\/tritanium\/\"   title=\"Tritanium\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\"  data-wpil-monitor-id=\"17596\">Tritanium<\/a> and two 5 Minute Repair Speed Ups, and completing it unlocks the next station mission, Upgrade Shipyard: Level 17.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Upgrade_R_D_Department_to_Level_17_objectives\"><\/span>Upgrade R&amp;D Department to Level 17 objectives<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>The story line reads: the R&amp;D Department unlocks additional upgrades for the <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/star-trek-fleet-command.1337wiki.com\/de\/werft\/\"   title=\"Shipyard\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\"  data-wpil-monitor-id=\"25364\">Shipyard<\/a> and Ships. There is one objective and no choice split:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Upgrade R&amp;D Department to Level 17.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>No system is named, no hostile is listed and nothing is donated. The mission clears when the <a href=\"https:\/\/star-trek-fleet-command.1337wiki.com\/de\/rd-abteilung\/\">F&amp;E-Abteilung<\/a> reaches level 17.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Where_and_what_warp\"><\/span>Wo und welcher Warp<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Warp 1 to start, warp 1 to complete, no pickup system.
