It starts and finishes at warp 1, the game lists a recommended level of 1, and nothing happens outside your station. The reward is 3,000 Tritanium and two 5 Minute Repair Speed Ups, and finishing it unlocks the <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/star-trek-fleet-command.1337wiki.com\/de\/werft\/\"   title=\"Shipyard\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\"  data-wpil-monitor-id=\"13269\">Shipyard<\/a> level 14 mission. It pays well for an upgrade on the main station path.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Upgrade_R_D_Department_to_Level_14_objectives\"><\/span>Upgrade R&amp;D Department to Level 14 objectives<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>The mission&#8217;s story line notes that the R&amp;D Department unlocks further upgrades for the Shipyard and your ships. There is one objective and no choice split:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Upgrade R&amp;D Department to Level 14.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>No system, hostile or donation is involved. The mission clears when the R&amp;D Department reaches level 14.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Where_and_what_warp\"><\/span>Wo und welcher Warp<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Warp 1 to start and warp 1 to complete, with no pickup system. The whole mission takes place on your station.<\/p>\n<p>The recommended level is 1. The upgrade and its three building requirements are what actually decide when you finish.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"What_R_D_Department_14_costs\"><\/span>What R&amp;D Department 14 costs<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Current game data lists the level 14 upgrade at 22,440 Parsteel and 132 <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/star-trek-fleet-command.1337wiki.com\/de\/dilithium\/\"   title=\"Dilithium\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\"  data-wpil-monitor-id=\"26778\">Dilithium<\/a>, with an unboosted build time of 10 hours 36 minutes. It requires <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/star-trek-fleet-command.1337wiki.com\/de\/operationen\/\"   title=\"Operations\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\"  data-wpil-monitor-id=\"13271\">Operations<\/a> 14, Academy 14 and Dilithium Generator B 11.<\/p>\n<p>The upgrade asks for no Tritanium, so the full 3,000 Tritanium reward is free for other <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/star-trek-fleet-command.1337wiki.com\/de\/gebaude\/\"   title=\"Geb\u00e4ude\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\"  data-wpil-monitor-id=\"13273\">Geb\u00e4ude<\/a>.
