You scan for Nausicaan Raiders near your station, destroy one enemy ship of about 143 strength and return to base. It needs only warp 1 to start and complete, and the game lists a recommended level of 1. The reward is 60 <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/star-trek-fleet-command.1337wiki.com\/de\/parsteel\/\"   title=\"Parsteel\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\"  data-wpil-monitor-id=\"15030\">Parsteel<\/a>, and finishing it unlocks the next mission, Awakening. It works as a first taste of combat more than as a source of <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/star-trek-fleet-command.1337wiki.com\/de\/ressourcen\/\"   title=\"Star Trek Fleet Command Resources\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\"  data-wpil-monitor-id=\"15027\">Ressourcen<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Sending_a_Message_objectives\"><\/span>Sending a Message objectives<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>The story line asks you to locate and intercept some Nausicaan Raiders. There are three objectives in a fixed order and no choice split:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Scan for enemies.<\/li>\n<li>Destroy the enemy ship. Enemy strength is roughly 143.<\/li>\n<li>Return to base.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>No system is named for any step. The scan finds the target, the fight is a single ship at 143 strength, and the mission ends when you dock again.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Where_and_what_warp\"><\/span>Wo und welcher Warp<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Warp 1 to start and warp 1 to complete, with no pickup system. Everything happens close to your station, so the ship you start the game with is enough to reach it.<\/p>\n<p>The recommended level is 1, and here the listed level fits: an enemy of about 143 strength is one of the weakest scripted enemies in the game&#8217;s <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/star-trek-fleet-command.1337wiki.com\/de\/missionsleitfaden\/\"   title=\"Star Trek Fleet Command Dienstreisen\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\"  data-wpil-monitor-id=\"15032\">Missionen<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Sending_a_Message_rewards\"><\/span>Sending a Message rewards<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>The only reward is 60 Parsteel. Of the three that pay Parsteel, Sending a Message pays the least, and Distress Call is the only one that adds Latinum.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"More_Nausicaan_trouble_early_on\"><\/span>More Nausicaan trouble early on<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>The Nausicaans turn up again in the next few levels with slightly tougher ships. <a href=\"https:\/\/star-trek-fleet-command.1337wiki.com\/de\/gavolars-wager\/\">Gavolars Wette<\/a> (recommended level 3) has you confront the Nausicaan bounty hunter Gavolar, at about 272 strength. <a href=\"https:\/\/star-trek-fleet-command.1337wiki.com\/de\/ungebetene-gaste-2\/\">Ungebetene G\u00e4ste<\/a> (recommended level 6) asks you to defend your station from a band of Nausicaan mercenaries, at about 453 strength, and pays 700 Parsteel with two 5 Minute Speed Ups.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Tips\"><\/span>Tips<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Use your starting combat ship. There is nothing to prepare, and the fight is short.<\/p>\n<p>Dock straight after. The last objective is the return trip, so the mission will not close until your ship is home.<\/p>\n<p>Spend the Parsteel on your first building upgrades. <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/star-trek-fleet-command.1337wiki.com\/de\/operationen\/\"   title=\"Operations\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\"  data-wpil-monitor-id=\"15028\">Operations<\/a> level 2 costs just 50 Parsteel in current building data, so even 60 helps at this stage.
