It needs only warp 1 to start and finish, and the game lists a recommended level of 1, so the upgrade itself is the whole task. The reward is 50 100K Dilithium Tokens and 60 8 Hour Speed Ups, and completing it unlocks <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/star-trek-fleet-command.1337wiki.com\/de\/werft\/\"   title=\"Shipyard\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\"  data-wpil-monitor-id=\"16392\">Shipyard<\/a> Level 44. The speed ups make this one of the more useful building <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/star-trek-fleet-command.1337wiki.com\/de\/missionsleitfaden\/\"   title=\"Star Trek Fleet Command Dienstreisen\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\"  data-wpil-monitor-id=\"13260\">Missionen<\/a> at this stage.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"R_D_Department_Level_44_objectives\"><\/span>R&amp;D Department Level 44 objectives<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>The story line simply reads as an instruction to upgrade to R&amp;D Department Level 44. There is one objective and no choice split:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Upgrade to R&amp;D Department Level 44.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>No system is named, no hostile is listed and nothing is donated. The mission clears as soon as the <a href=\"https:\/\/star-trek-fleet-command.1337wiki.com\/de\/rd-abteilung\/\">F&amp;E-Abteilung<\/a> finishes its upgrade to level 44.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Where_and_what_warp\"><\/span>Wo und welcher Warp<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Warp 1 to start and warp 1 to complete, with no pickup system. R&amp;D Department Level 44 follows Drydock B Level 43, which pays 9,375,000 <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/star-trek-fleet-command.1337wiki.com\/de\/tritanium\/\"   title=\"Tritanium\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\"  data-wpil-monitor-id=\"13256\">Tritanium<\/a> and nine 1M Tritanium Tokens, and it leads into Shipyard Level 44, which pays 90 each of 4\u2605 Uncommon Interceptor, Explorer, Battleship and Survey Parts.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Tips\"><\/span>Tips<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>The 60 8 Hour Speed Ups equal 480 hours, or 20 days, of speed up time.
