It is available from warp 1 but needs warp 18 to complete, and the game lists a recommended level of 1. If refined ore or battleship upgrades are your bottleneck, the escape path is the one that pays them.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Where_Cutting_Ties_sits_in_the_story\"><\/span>Where Cutting Ties sits in the story<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Cutting Ties belongs to a Romulan storyline built around a data forger and a figure named Novix. In Repeat Business you bring the data forger to Novix, and the mission before this one is <a href=\"https:\/\/star-trek-fleet-command.1337wiki.com\/de\/der-tod-der-unschuld\/\">Der Tod der Unschuld<\/a>. After Cutting Ties, Chaos and Consequence asks you to take Novix down, with another choice split between confronting the Proconsul in Vendus A and hacking the Romulan database on <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/star-trek-fleet-command.1337wiki.com\/de\/biruin\/\"   title=\"Biruin (27) - Romulanisches Sternensystem\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\"  data-wpil-monitor-id=\"15121\">Biruin<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Tips\"><\/span>Tips<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Decide before you reach Sufiday. The choice comes right after the first objective, and the escape path keeps you in Sufiday for the guard fight.<\/p>\n<p>If you take the escape path, bring a combat ship. The guard is the only enemy in the mission, but a survey ship will struggle with it.<\/p>\n<p>Both paths cost 1,200 Federation reputation, so players building Federation standing lose a little either way.
