You need to defeat 3 hostiles of level 5 or higher, anywhere. It runs at warp 1 from start to finish and the game lists a recommended level of 1. The reward is 35 <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/star-trek-fleet-command.1337wiki.com\/de\/dilithium\/\"   title=\"Dilithium\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\"  data-wpil-monitor-id=\"25312\">Dilithium<\/a>, 600 Officer XP and a <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/star-trek-fleet-command.1337wiki.com\/de\/tag\/next-gen-officer-group\/\"   title=\"Gruppe der Offiziere der n\u00e4chsten Generation\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\"  data-wpil-monitor-id=\"16852\">N\u00e4chste Generation<\/a> Riker shard, and completing it opens the level 5 Veteran step.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Combat_Training_5_Soldier_objectives\"><\/span>Combat Training 5: Soldier objectives<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Every Combat Training mission uses the same story line: test your skills in battle against hostile enemies of rising difficulty. There is one objective and no choice split:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Defeat 3 hostiles of Level 5 or higher.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>No system is named. Any three hostiles at level 5 or above count, so the nearest suitable targets to your station are the quickest way to finish.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Where_and_what_warp\"><\/span>Wo und welcher Warp<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Warp 1 to start and warp 1 to complete. The mission does not name a system, so the only travel is to wherever you find level 5 or higher hostiles.<\/p>\n<p>The recommended level is listed as 1. The rewards roughly double from level 4 to level 6, and the shard count goes up to two at level 6.<\/p>\n<p>After this step, Combat Training 5: Veteran completes the level 5 set.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Tips\"><\/span>Tips<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Finish it in the same session as the Rookie step. Both ask for level 5 or higher hostiles, so the same targets cover the one kill and then the three.<\/p>\n<p>Use the Officer XP on your captain. At level 5, 600 Officer XP is enough to move a new officer up a few levels.<\/p>\n<p>Keep collecting Next Gen Riker shards. With 2 of the 3 needed for rank 1 from this level&#8217;s Rookie and Soldier steps, one more shard completes the unlock.
