You defeat five hostiles of level 14 or higher, anywhere you like, and collect 1,325 Dilithium, 9,500 Officer XP and two <a href=\"https:\/\/star-trek-fleet-command.1337wiki.com\/de\/vartoq\/\">Vartoq<\/a> shards. It runs at warp 1 and the game lists a recommended level of 1. It is a quick mission that pays out for fights you would take anyway.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Combat_Training_14_Soldier_objectives\"><\/span>Combat Training 14: Soldier objectives<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>The mission text invites you to test your skills against hostiles of escalating difficulty. The tier before it is <a href=\"https:\/\/star-trek-fleet-command.1337wiki.com\/de\/kampf-ausbildungsmissionen\/#combat-training-14-rookie\">Kampftraining 14: Rookie<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"About_the_Vartoq_shards\"><\/span>About the Vartoq shards<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Vartoq is a <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/star-trek-fleet-command.1337wiki.com\/de\/tag\/common-officers\/\"   title=\"Common-Offiziere\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\"  data-wpil-monitor-id=\"12849\">gemeinsame<\/a> officer. His captain maneuver, Interceptor Specialist, adds 20% to the weapon damage of Interceptors against players, and his officer ability, Kinetic Boost, raises kinetic weapon damage against other players&#8217; ships. Both are player-versus-player effects, so he is aimed at PvP rather than hostile grinding.<\/p>\n<p>Rank 1 needs 6 shards and rank 2 needs 18. Five kills at level 14 or higher is a light ask, and you can often finish it during a daily hostile run without a dedicated trip.<\/p>\n<p>Spend the Officer XP on one officer rather than several. 9,500 goes further when it lifts a single bridge officer you actually use.<\/p>\n<p>Carry on to the Veteran tier straight away. Its objective is a single hostile captain at roughly 6,745 strength, and it pays more Dilithium plus the other 2 Vartoq shards from this level.
