It lists a recommended level of 1, needs warp 13 to start and warp 15 to finish, and can be picked up in eight different systems. The mission is combat all the way through, from Kaikara to Azha, and ends with a choice: save K&#8217;Ran or destroy the <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/star-trek-fleet-command.1337wiki.com\/de\/romulanisch\/\"   title=\"Romulanische Fraktion\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\"  data-wpil-monitor-id=\"16643\">Romulanisch<\/a> transport. Both paths pay 8 Koth shards.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"A_Bitter_Taste_objectives\"><\/span>A Bitter Taste objectives<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>The first six objectives are shared:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Meet K&#8217;Ran in Kaikara. Location: <a href=\"https:\/\/star-trek-fleet-command.1337wiki.com\/de\/kaikara\/\">Kaikara<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Defeat 5 Hostiles in Kaikara. Location: Kaikara.<\/li>\n<li>Defeat the IRW Taurian. Location: Kaikara. Enemy strength is roughly 17,801.<\/li>\n<li>Follow the signal to Sorenle. Location: Sorenle.<\/li>\n<li>Defeat the IRW Mors. Location: Azha. Enemy strength is roughly 22,909.<\/li>\n<li>Save K&#8217;Ran OR Destroy the Romulan transport. This is the choice split.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Both branches are listed as Romulan paths, and each ends with one more fight at about 30,371 strength.<\/p>\n<h3>Path A: the Romulan Bomber<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Defeat the Romulan Bomber. Location: Krah&#8217;Hor. Enemy strength is roughly 30,371.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Rewards: 8 Koth shards, 400,000 <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/star-trek-fleet-command.1337wiki.com\/de\/parsteel\/\"   title=\"Parsteel\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\"  data-wpil-monitor-id=\"16644\">Parsteel<\/a>, 80 <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/star-trek-fleet-command.1337wiki.com\/de\/klingonisch\/\"   title=\"Klingonenfraktion\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\"  data-wpil-monitor-id=\"13764\">Klingonisch<\/a> Points, -19 Federation Points and -51 Romulan Points.<\/p>\n<h3>Path B: the Romulan Transport<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Defeat the Romulan Transport. Location: Azha. Enemy strength is roughly 30,371.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Rewards: 8 Koth shards, 80 Klingon Credits, 110 Klingon Points, -19 <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/star-trek-fleet-command.1337wiki.com\/de\/foderation\/\"   title=\"F\u00f6derationsfraktion\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\"  data-wpil-monitor-id=\"16645\">F\u00f6deration<\/a> Points and -51 Romulan Points.<\/p>\n<p>The fights grow in strength as you go: five hostiles, then the IRW Taurian at about 17,801, the IRW Mors at about 22,909, and a final target at about 30,371 on either path.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Where_and_what_warp\"><\/span>Wo und welcher Warp<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>A Bitter Taste can be picked up in any of eight systems: Kaus Borealis, Jishui, Zeta Polis, Todem, Kaus Media, Helvetios, Wasat and Kaus Australis. Warp is 13 to start and 15 to complete.<\/p>\n<p>The route runs Kaikara, Sorenle and Azha, then either Krah&#8217;Hor on Path A or back to Azha on Path B. Path A pays 400,000 Parsteel. Path B pays 80 Klingon Credits and 30 more Klingon Points.<\/p>\n<p>Bring a combat ship and plan for a long run of fights: five hostiles and then three named targets, each stronger than the last. The only objective without combat after Kaikara is following the signal to Sorenle.<\/p>\n<p>Path B stays in Azha, where you already fought the IRW Mors, so it saves a jump compared with the trip to Krah&#8217;Hor on Path A.<\/p>\n<p>Kaikara is also the pickup system for <a href=\"https:\/\/star-trek-fleet-command.1337wiki.com\/de\/loyalitaten\/\">Allianzen<\/a>, whose Pirate Captain matches the IRW Taurian at about 17,801 strength.
