KSG Shield Mitigation is a Combat research that adds a flat amount to your ships’ Shield Mitigation for the first two rounds of combat, from 0.005 at level 1 to 0.025 at level 5. It unlocks at R&D Department 51 and is paid entirely in K.S.G. Intelligence, the currency from Klingon Wissenschaft<\/a> Group content.<\/p>\n

<\/span>What KSG Shield Mitigation does<\/span><\/h2>\n

Shield Mitigation is the stat that decides what share of incoming damage your shields absorb, and the values here are flat additions to that stat, active only in rounds one and two. Early rounds are where burst damage decides many fights, especially in PvP, so front-loaded mitigation is worth more than the small numbers suggest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Level 1 needs only R&D Department 51. The gating in practice is the 144.7K total K.S.G. Intelligence, which means sustained play in KSG space.<\/p>\n

Per-level costs are in the table above. Maxing all 5 levels totals about 144.7K K.S.G. Intelligence. The base research time adds up to roughly 33.1 yr on paper; research speed bonuses cut real timers to a small fraction of that, so use it to compare levels, not to plan your calendar.<\/p>\n

<\/span>Is KSG Shield Mitigation worth it?<\/span><\/h2>\n
