5\u2605 Battleship Shield Piercing is an endgame Combat research for Grade 5 and higher battleships. It raises their base Shield Penetration against explorers from 80% at level 1 to 350% at level 10, and it sits behind two Geb\u00e4ude<\/a> at once: R&D Department 53 and Foundry 51. If your PvP hunter is a G5 battleship, this line is where its explorer kills come from.<\/p>\n

<\/span>What 5\u2605 Battleship Shield Piercing does<\/span><\/h2>\n

Shield Penetration decides how much of your damage ignores the target’s shields and lands on hull. This project raises the base Shield Penetration of Grade 5+ Schlachtschiffe<\/a> when firing on explorers, sharpening the edge battleships already hold over explorers in the combat triangle. It applies to player and hostile explorer targets alike; it does nothing for your interceptors, explorers, or lower-grade battleships.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

<\/span>Cost and research time<\/span><\/h2>\n

Per-level costs are in the table above. Maxing all 10 levels totals about 603.2B Tritanium, 2.2T Dilithium, 205K 5\u2605 Common Refined Ore, 46K 5\u2605 Uncommon Refined Ore, 45.1K 5\u2605 Rare Refined Ore. The base research time adds up to roughly 58.6 yr on paper; research speed bonuses cut real timers to a small fraction of that, so use it to compare levels, not to plan your calendar.<\/p>\n

<\/span>Is 5\u2605 Battleship Shield Piercing worth it?<\/span><\/h2>\n
