It unlocks at Shipyard level 52. For players deep into 5-star mining, it is a flexible workhorse, not a combat ship.

How to get the Nova

The Nova needs 150 blueprints and a Shipyard at level 52 before you can build it. The build cost is 72,125,000,000 Tritanium and 1,409,375,000 Dilithium, and construction takes 85 days. The game Daten lists the requirement and cost but not where the blueprints come from, so plan around the build itself and watch for the ship in whatever store or event cycle offers it while you collect prints. The 85-day build is long, so most players start the Nova as a background project once they reach Shipyard 52 and let it finish while they play. Blueprints tend to arrive in batches, so you will usually gather the 150 prints across several store or event cycles rather than all at once.

Nova ability

The Nova’s ship ability is the Universal Mining Laser. When it mines 5-star crystal, gas, or ore, its mining speed goes up, starting at 150% at ship level 1 and climbing to 600% at level 60. Like all ship abilities, it stays on without you doing anything. The payoff is that a single Nova handles all three 5-star raw materials, so you do not have to build and level a separate miner for each resource line. Mining speed matters most in 5-star systems, where nodes are large and slow to clear, so a higher-tier Nova finishes a haul faster and gets you more runs per session with less time exposed on a node. The bonus only applies to 5-star crystal, gas, and ore; on lower-tier resources the Nova mines at its plain base rate with no ship-ability boost.

Stats and tiers

These are base values from the current game data; research, buffs, and Offiziere raise them in play. Base mining speed climbs from 26.5 at tier 1 to 63 at tier 12, which is the number that matters most on a survey hull. Protected cargo also rises, from 20,000 at tier 1 to 57,000 at tier 12; that is the slice of a haul an attacker cannot steal if your Nova is destroyed on a node, so tiering the ship up keeps more of each run safe.

Ebene

Warp (speed / range)

Impulse

Cargo (protected)

Shield HP

Hull HP

Health (displayed)

1

4 / 245

100

3,500,000 (20,000)

605,977

765,763

685,870

6

4.8 / 330

100

4,750,000 (32,000)

910,767

1,150,921

1,030,844

12

5.8 / 495

100

6,250,000 (57,000)

1,463,789

1,849,767

1,656,778

Weapons and firing pattern

Warm-up is the round a weapon first fires, and cool-down is how many rounds pass between shots after that. It was never a warship; its role was data-gathering on the frontier. Star Trek Fleet Command’s Nova is an Independent design rather than a Starfleet one, but it keeps that survey identity, trading combat strength for mining reach across gas, ore, and crystal. The in-game description sums it up as a versatile newcomer for captains expanding their mining Operationen.

Is the Nova worth it?

The Nova earns its place as a grade 5 all-in-one miner. If you are far enough along to build 5-star mining, one Nova covering gas, ore, and crystal saves you from leveling three specialist ships, and its mining speed keeps climbing as you tier it up. It will not help you in combat, and the data lists no scrap level, so think of it as a working miner you keep rather than a feeder hull. Chase it if versatile 5-star mining fits how you play.

[88
279,156,150,155
post-18994","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","category-ships","tag-5-ships","tag-neutral-ships","tag-survey-ships","tag-uncommon-ships
["GET
