Tera Lara<\/strong> is a level 24 Augment star system in Star Trek Fleet Command, and you need warp 7<\/strong> to reach it. There is no entry cost. It is where Khan’s Dark Matter side Missionen<\/a> begin: Mind Over Matter and Beneath the Heel both start here and each pays 1 Dark Matter sample, the mission resource Khan needs for his experiments. Tera Lara also has a Corrupted Data node for the Augment<\/a> Store and Vaaran Marauders and Suliban Bounty Hunters from level 21 to 27.<\/p>\n

Dark Matter is a mission resource: you earn it one sample at a time from Augment side missions, then hand samples to Khan<\/a> in the main Augment story. Nine side missions pay 1 Dark Matter each, whichever choice you make where the mission splits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Three parts of the main Augments chain spend or collect those samples. Augments Part 13: Volatile Combinations asks you to collect 3 Dark Matter samples from missions in the Vaara Expanse. Augments Part 14: The Die is Thrown<\/a> has you give 3 Dark Matter samples to Khan. Augments Part 17: Recuperation asks for 3 new samples from missions in the Kor Na Ran and Paradane systems. Bank samples from the side missions as you go and you will not be stuck waiting on one when the chain asks. The Augment missions<\/a> hub lists the whole chain.<\/p>\n

<\/span>Is Tera Lara worth the trip?<\/span><\/h2>\n

Yes, early in the Augment story. At warp 7 it is one of the easiest Augment systems to reach, and its two Dark Matter missions are the quickest way to start banking the samples the main chain asks for.
